LEAD-K PARTNERSHIP AND FUNDRAISING CHALLENGE
The Nyle DiMarco Foundation (NDF) is proud to announce a partnership with LEAD-K to end language deprivation.
Some of you may already know that the current focus of NDF is on Deaf and Hard of Hearing children and their families. We specifically aim to empower families with knowledge on how to give their newborn language and literacy.
To do this, we need all the support we can get. We at NDF have begun several exciting projects, and I’m thrilled to announce that one of them is partnering with Language Equality and Acquisition for Deaf Kids (LEAD-K), a national education campaign promoting Kindergarten-readiness through early language acquisition.
As our partner for policy and advocacy, LEAD-K’s efforts align with NDF’s to raise awareness and understanding about the need to end language deprivation and provide resources and tools for early language learning whether its ASL and English, both or one of languages Deaf and Hard of Hearing children use – early language acquisition = a lifetime of successes!
I am also excited to share that in celebration of our partnership with LEAD-K, NDF is starting a $25,000 fundraising challenge! NDF will personally put up half of this amount ($12,500), and asks that our supporters join us in donating to this important campaign. Your help today goes toward supporting advocacy and public awareness efforts towards language competency for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children in the USA!
